Trifling/Matters: Share Small Cultural Aspects!

Trifling/Matters is a social media app that allows people to connect and share differences that they notice in themselves and their surroundings because of their culture/heritage. Users will submit stories and be asked to name the culture that they identify with (Ex: Vietnamese, Navajo) and also the city and country that they reside in (Ex: Seattle, USA). Though immigrants and travelers will have a strong connection to this app, it is also for people who have not moved or traveled, but have simply inherited another culture’s values/traditions through their upbringing. Through Trifling/Matters, the users will find a fun way to learn and think about the fine details of other cultures, rather than holding them in an abstract image. After all, a culture is made of many aspects like a forest is made of many trees. Once in a while, time should be taken to admire an individual tree on its own.
